The RSS system for permanent edge protection Print E-mail
anl0642.jpgFall protection is mandatory for work at heights from 2.5 metres. For roofs where regular maintenance work needs to be carried out, for instance on lift installations and air-conditioning systems, Roof Safety Systems offers a system for permanent fall protection. Engineers and maintenance staff can access the roof safely and carry out their work.
The system satisfies the European standard EN ISO 14122-3 and has been approved by the well-known certification institute Aboma+Keboma.

No loose parts
The roof edge protection system is made of high-quality, lightweight aluminium and consists of three components: A fence of 2 metres wide and 1.10 metres high, a stanchion and a counterweight of 25 kg. The fence is bolted to the stanchion.

Rapidly built
Fence and stanchion are simply screwed together with nuts & bolts. No special tooling is needed as is the case with rivets. A counterweight is placed on the stanchion, so there is no need to drill holes in the roof.
The edge protection can be assembled very quickly: a team of two men can fit at least 100 metres per day.

Made to measure
The edge protection system can be made to measure. The customer receives a detailed technical drawing in advance of the solution offered.

Aesthetic thanks to diagonally placed fence
From an aesthetic perspective, the edge protection system should be invisible from ground level. So the fence is placed on the roof at a slight angle, meaning that the fencing is kept out of sight as far as possible from onlookers on the street.
The fencing can be sprayed in any desired colour to integrate it with the colours of the building.
