Master carpenter Röders uses RSS when building roof dormers |
|
|
|
tirsdag 26. januar 2010 |
Germany - Mönchengladbach
Peter Röders relies not only on quality, but also on safety. The patented roof dormers this experienced craftsman builds completely individually in his workshop using state-of-the-art technology are lifted onto the roof with the help of mobile cranes and as a rule fitted in only one day.
Röders looks back upon 40 years of company history and offers his dormers at a price-performance ratio that has been well thought through; thanks to RSS, safety at work is already included in the price. He can forgo costly scaffolding entirely but still work safely.
Checks on site by the construction industry health & safety inspectors are no problem for Röders. Any closure of a building site would also entail serious consequences for Röders – because when the dormer is delivered the roof has already been laid completely open ... so the last thing Röders needs is interruptions. With RSS, Röders can look forward to a safe future.

The RSS steep roof system is used by the construction company Rainer Teigel |
|
|
|
mandag 06. juli 2009 |
Germany - Werne
Rainer Teigel specializes in the installation of PV-equipment. Thanks to the RSS steep roof system, Ranier Teigel is able to secure his construction sites quickly and safely.
″It's a fabulous system and we are much more flexible than we used to be. It's almost as if we have no need for scaffolding anymore. I charge the customer 50% of the usual costs for the scaffolding. The customer is satisfied because of the low costs. Besides that, there are no drill holes in the wall anymore. I serve my building sites irrespectively of the rigger and I am still able to offer my customers the whole package.″ - Rainer Tiegel (Owner)
In the beginning Rainer Teigel ordered 15 meters of the steep roof system and the system has already paid for itself, saving the company (give and amount of money per job) in a short amount of time.

Gommers saves 30% of cost thanks to edge protection from RSS |
|
|
|
søndag 16. november 2008 |
The
Netherlands - Nijmegen
Roofing contractors Gommers have started work on a major renovation
of approx. 7,500 m2 of
corrugated sheet on a student housing complex in Nijmegen. Fall protection facilities are
required by law there. "We first considered building scaffolding. That's what
we've been doing for years", says René Gommers, director of Gommers Dakwerken.
"Normally we would have to erect about 860 metres of scaffolding. My client, the student
housing association in Nijmegen,
had read about edge protection for sloping roofs from Roof Safety Systems on
the Internet. If you erect scaffolding, you give burglars really easy access to the backdoor of around 750 apartments.
That was a problem for the client. The RSS system has solved it."
Roof Safety
Systems provided Gommers and its client with a demonstration on site. "With no
obligation up front, RSS installed a trial
installation of 12
metres on the roof," says René Gommers. That says something about the trust RSS has in its
own product. I really liked that. Everyone was enthusiastic. It is a great system that really works. Very convenient and safe. Our employees are really enthusiastic
too."
"So we started calculating. We counted up the costs of building and
dismantling, the cherry-picker and purchase of the RSS system. The saving versus scaffolding was no less
than 30%. So we bought 60 metres of edge protection at once. It's a
one-time investment that we can also use for future projects."
The renovation has started and will last 7 months.

Roofing contractor Gerritzen "won twofold" |
|
|
|
torsdag 09. oktober 2008 |
Germany - Duisburg
Roofing contractor Gerritzen in Duisburg needed to install a new layer of slated bituminous sheeting on a flat roof; the eaves (see picture) needed to be secured accordingly.
Building height = 15 m Width = 6 m; the scaffolding contractor would have had to build about 100 m² of scaffolding (costs of approx. € 500.00).
Mr Gerritzen was annoyed about the relatively high scaffolding costs. The scaffolding contractor would have had the required 100 m² of scaffolding available only after a lead time of about 1 – 2 weeks. So time was also of the essence for the roofer.
Mr Gerritzen wanted to stay flexible and asked his dealer about alternatives to the scaffolding. His attention was drawn to RSS and he quickly rented 6 metres of the RSS steep roof system.
Mounting the 6 metres of the RSS steep roof system took about 15 minutes.
Including the rental costs, Mr Gerritzen saved around € 400.00 here and the roof was finished before the scaffolding contractor would have been able to turn out in the first place.
So Mr Gerritzen won twofold with RSS: On the one hand a cost saving of approx. 80%, but on the other hand Mr Gerritzen maintained the flexibility so important to him.

Permanent fencing Regional Fire Service |
|
|
|
mandag 29. september 2008 |
|
Netherlands - Venlo
In mid-September, RSS installed permanent fencing on the building of the Regional Fire Service for northern and
central Limburg. According to Messrs Stultiens
and Bouten of sector safety that
was not a difficult decision: "Based on a risk inventory of our building, it
appeared that walking on the roof and maintenance of the systems there
could not be performed safely.
On the roof are various
ventilation units and air conditioners that need an annual inspection. Most of
these systems stand within 2
metres from the edge of the roof. The safety of internal
and external technicians had to be
guaranteed. After requesting information from the SBD (Roofing
Industry Foundation) we were referred on
to Roof Safety Systems BV in Venlo.
They have just installed the first phase of 45 metres to our complete
satisfaction."
The RSS system is completely in aluminium and is
placed free-standing on the roof. The system is very light, quick to build up and, if necessary, easy to dismantle. The RSS system is certified
by Aboma & Keboma in accordance with the highest standards in force at
this time.

i.flg.

Roofing Contractors Böcker in Dortmund enthusiastic about RSS |
|
|
|
tirsdag 11. september 2007 |
Germany - Dortmund
In June 2007, Dirk Böcker, director of Böcker GmbH in Dortmund, bought 24 metres of RSS roof edge protection for sloping roofs. The employees, including Dirk Böcker, are amazed by the simplicity and safety offered by the RSS system. “The roofs in the centre of Dortmund are mostly very high. So we now place the RSS system everywhere, because it can be installed in no time using our own crane. We can now handle small and large projects without first having to build permanent scaffolding. We work much more flexibly, save time and the costs are much lower relative to traditional scaffolding. I quickly earned back the first 24 metres of RSS.
In August 2007, Böcker was carrying out a roof renovation for the well-known housing association DOGEWO. During the renovation they needed to secure a total of almost 180 metres of roof edge. To do so, Böcker again ordered 24 metres of RSS roof edge protection. “The RSS system for sloping roofs can easily be used for flat roofs too. Because the system hangs on the roof edge, we could carry out the entire renovation without having to keep moving the system; it couldn’t have been easier. The housing association was also enthusiastic about the simplicity of the RSS system. After all, it saved an awful lot of scaffolding.”
At the moment, Böcker GmbH has about 50 metres of RSS edge protection. “Our employees take the RSS system to the site as standard. The RSS system is a combination of time-saving and safety on our roofs”, says Dirk Böcker.

Wouters Roofing Contractor enthusiastic about RSS edge protection |
|
|
|
torsdag 31. maj 2007 |
|
Belgium – Tessenderlo
Roofing contractor Wouters has been using the RSS edge protection system for sloping roofs for three months now. This is a two-man business active in renovation and new building.
“The system is easy, light and dependable”, says Mario Wouters. Wouters bought 9 metres of edge protection fencing and uses the system almost daily. “Building up the edge protection is really fast: 9 metres in 10 minutes. First we place a ladder in the middle and place a stanchion to the left and right of the ladder and then hang the 3 metre fence in it. Once on the roof, we then place the remaining stanchions and fencing. The system doesn’t even get in the way if you’re standing in the gutter. It’s a terrific system!”
And safety? “I really had to cling to it once”, says Marco Wouters “and it held firm”. With the RSS edge protection system I create a good impression with my customers. People say to me: OK, that looks good!”
For Wouters it is important that the edge protection can also be used on roofs with an overhang of 1 metre. “It’s a smart system, you realise they’ve thought things through. It’s easy to stack. I lay everything on top of each other and it lies stable. If you can do that you’re going to buy more. So we’re now going to order another 9 metres.”

Ruiter Dakkapellen i gang med RSS |
|
|
|
fredag 10. november 2006 |
|

Holland - Houten
stilladset brydes ned igen.
Ruiter Dakkapellen har showrooms over hele Holland.

Tagdækkerfirmaet D&B om RSS |
|
|
|
torsdag 09. februar 2006 |
Holland - Tegelen
